With the disguises and trucks in place, the trio ambushes an armored delivery on behalf of the FIB, using a garbage truck to block the road and a tow truck to rip the vehicle open before the shooting starts.

Walkthrough

  1. Get into position

    The trio splits up ahead of the armored car's route through Cypress Flats.

  2. Block the road

    Use the garbage truck to cut off the armored car's escape route.

  3. Rip it open

    Ram the back of the armored car with the tow truck to tear it open.

  4. Fight off the response

    Police and NOOSE units converge fast. Hold them off while the bonds are grabbed.

    Tip Headshots and Accuracy are both easier to bank here than later, since enemies keep coming in from predictable angles around the truck.

  5. Take down the helicopter

    A police or NOOSE helicopter joins the fight. Bring it down before it becomes a problem.

    Warning Hawk Down needs that helicopter destroyed, not just driven off. Leave a rocket launcher or enough firepower in reserve for it.

  6. Deliver the bonds

    Get clear of the area and deliver the bonds to Devin Weston's mansion.

Gold medal requirements

  • Hawk Down

    Shoot down the helicopter.

  • Headshots

    Kill 12 enemies with a headshot.

  • Accuracy

    Finish with a shooting accuracy of at least 60%.

  • Switcher

    Switch between characters 10 times.

Watch out for

  • Switcher just needs 10 character swaps somewhere in the mission. Regular play covers most of that count naturally without forcing extra switches.
  • Keeping something heavier than a rifle in reserve for the helicopter is worth it. Chasing Hawk Down with whatever's in hand at the time wastes ammo without guaranteeing the kill.
