The opening heist. Michael and Trevor rob a security depot in North Yankton in 2004, nine years before the rest of the game.

Walkthrough

  1. Move in

    Head into the depot office and get the hostages under control.

  2. Rig the vault

    Cover Trevor while he wires the vault door with plastic explosives, then trigger the charge.

  3. Clear the vault

    Collect the cash before moving to the exit.

  4. Switch and shoot

    A guard blocks the way out. Switch to Trevor and take the shot yourself if Michael can't get a clean angle.

    Warning If neither of you deals with the guard in time, Michael goes down and the mission fails.

  5. Get to the truck

    Fight through to the getaway vehicle as North Yankton police close in.

  6. Take the wheel

    When the driver is shot, take over driving and get clear of the roadblock.

    Note The truck takes damage crossing the tracks — a train can total it if you're not through in time.

  7. Hold the extraction point

    On foot and outnumbered, fight off the police until the mission ends.
