Los Santos

Michael goes to Lester for help planning a heist, and the price is one favor first: getting into Lifeinvader's office to rig a prototype phone before its CEO shows it off to the world.

Walkthrough

  1. Meet up with Lester

    Head to Lester's place in El Burro Heights and hear him out. He needs a favor before he will help Michael with anything bigger.

  2. Buy a disguise

    Stop by the Suburban clothing store in Vinewood and grab a plain shirt and shorts combo so Michael doesn't stand out walking into Lifeinvader.

  3. Get into Lifeinvader

    Follow Rickie through the rear entrance and stay close behind him. He knows the layout and gets Michael past the staff without questions.

  4. Clear the pop-ups

    Sit down at the computer and start closing pop-ups as fast as they appear before the antivirus catches on.

    Tip Trigger Michael's special ability right as you sit down. It slows the game around you without slowing down how fast you can click through pop-ups, which makes the 32-second window much easier.

    Warning Hitting the antivirus button by mistake before every pop-up is closed fails Popups Clear on the spot. Slow down if you're not confident in the timing.

  5. Plant the device

    With the pop-ups handled, rig the prototype phone in the side room and get back out before anyone notices.

  6. Get out and head home

    Walk out the way Rickie brought you in and drive back to Michael's house.

  7. Watch the keynote

    Turn on the TV and wait for Jay Norris to unveil the phone at his event, then give him a call.

Gold medal requirements

  • Time

    Complete the mission within 08:30.

  • Popups Clear

    Clear every computer pop-up within 32 seconds.

Watch out for

  • The antivirus button sits right next to the pop-ups you're closing. Rushing it is what usually costs Popups Clear, not the 32-second window itself.
  • Michael's special ability is the real trick to the pop-up sequence. Save it for the moment you sit down at the computer instead of using it earlier in the mission.
  • There's no combat and no chase in this one, so dialogue is the only thing standing between you and gold. Skip cutscenes where you can to protect the 08:30 target.
